This is really confusing me. I am so sure that the answer should be (b)Large and Fast, because it follows the 9/16 ratio for both dominant alleles.. however, both parents were slow. So it can not fast can not be a dominant allele.
Does anybody know HOW to figure this out?
Thanks so much for any help, i know these hw questions are annoying...
In an attempt to create farm-raised Tilapia ideal for restaurant use, Horace Fishfinder crosses two wild tilapia that he has captured. The male is large and slow. The female is small and slow. The following numbers of offspring that resulted from this cross fall into the four categories as is shown:
Large and Slow = 28
Large and Fast = 93
Small and Slow = 7
Small and Fast = 32
